Who doesn’t like to appreciate the final days of sun after summer? When the weather is nice, we tend to lay under the sun to maintain our tan, but we must not forget that the overexposure can cause our skin to dry out. To avoid dehydration, we bring you some simple tips.
- Exfoliate your skin and restore its luminosity: once per week it is important to exfoliate, as it helps to remove impurities and dead skin cells, whilst also cleaning out our pores. It helps us to achieve a more healthy and natural skin.
- Moisturiser, the must have for the face and body: dehydrated skin lacks the water it needs to keep it in perfect condition, for that reason we must apply moisturiser on a daily basis, it must be an essential step in your routine. Use specific creams for both the body and face. Products which contain ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or ceramides guarantee the correct hydration.
- Serum, a hydration extra: Serums are a very important part of skincare since their high concentrations of active ingredients penetrate into the deepest layers.
- Sun cream all year round: you must not forget to apply sun cream throughout the year, specifically on the face. Although we do not expose ourselves directly to the sun, our day-to-day life means that the rays affect us anyway and we must make sure our skin is protected.
- War on blemishes. If summer has left spots on your skin, now is the time to start with depigmentation treatments. To do this, it is best to get professional advice to find the best anti-spot treatment. Ideally, incorporate it into your nightly routine.
- Eat well: a varied and balanced diet is essential for good hydration. If you overindulged on holiday, now is the time to get back to the routine.
- Drink water: this is the basis of hydration, both for the days after sun exposure and for any day of the year. Try to drink at least 1.5 litres a day. Your health and your skin will thank you for it.
