Alejandro López García, better known as Jandro, is a humourist, magician, television presenter, actor, screenwriter and writer. Spanish Champion in Comic Magic, he has a long career in television that began around 2005 and continues to this day. Regular presence on the talk show, El Hormiguero, until 2020 (after fourteen years of uninterrupted collaborations with Pablo Motos' programme), he currently combines his magic and comedy shows in theatres with other personal and professional projects. He is the magician with the most "Fool Us" trophies (five). "Fool us" is a contest held in Las Vegas and whose recognitions are considered a kind of Oscar within the world of magic.
Here are his “top fives”:
OLIVES
I can't conceive of life without olives. It is one of humanity's great delicacies. I like all their varieties, flavours and colours. I think that in order to earn Michelin stars, restaurants should always put out olives.
BLUEBERRIES
Blueberries must always be available. Every day we eat fruit for breakfast and blueberries have been a regular morning choice for years. There are more blueberries in my blood than red blood cells.
FRUTOS SECOS
I always get through a couple of bags. Cashews, pistachios, almonds, peanuts... all of them. Of course, natural, unroasted and unsalted, as they are richer and healthier.
EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
How lucky we are that the best olive oils in the world are produced in Spain. When I have American friends over and they try them, they go crazy for it and always take back a couple of little bottles of contraband.
FREE-RANGE EGGS
It is amazing that with a single ingredient you can do so many different and delicious things. A potato tortilla in front of a movie on Friday night has long been a tradition, and if you top it off with anchovies and peppers, it can't be bettered. Stop, my mouth is watering.
