Marian Rojas Estapé is a psychiatrist (a vocation which runs in her family) and a writer. She currently works at the Rojas Estapé Institute and her professional work focuses mainly on treating people with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, behavioural disorders, somatic diseases and trauma. With a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra, she is the author of the books Find your vitamin person and How to make good things happen to you: understand your brain, manage your emotions, improve your life. She has participated in several cooperation and volunteering projects outside of Spain and is a regular contributor to various media.

Here are her 'top five':

CAULIFLOWER

My parents have a little house in the countryside with a vegetable garden and I often bring back vegetables and greens from there, so I regularly save on my grocery shopping. With four kids at home who are big eaters, teaching them how to eat vegetables from a young age is essential!

KIWI

We love kiwi at home. Even the little one asks for kiwi from time to time. They don't always last, but I buy them every week.

85% DARK CHOCOLATE

I love chocolate in all its varieties, but I control myself. After lunch and dinner, I always have an ounce (or two!) of chocolate. It's one of my great passions.

CHEESE

It's my second weakness after chocolate. I buy fresh goat cheese for breakfast and semi-cured cheese for weekdays. Some weeks I give myself a little treat by buying some extra cheese that I like more.

BREAD

I buy a lot of bread and freeze it. Of different types: spelt, rye, wholemeal... Every morning we have a slice of bread with delicious olive oil (which we are lucky enough to receive from Andalusia, from my paternal family) and cheese or turkey. We can't go without bread at home.
