Marta Ventura is a journalist and one of the most well-known faces at À Punt, the independent Valencian channel where she currently presents the midday news. During her time at À Punt, she has also hosted the morning news and talk show, as well as the second edition news (the evening one). She has been a reporter for Mediaset (both on Channel Four as well as for regional networks from the Valencian Community) and in addition to her journalism, she has taught at the Carlos III University in Madrid.

Here are her “five from”:

NUTS

My indispensable morning snack! Mixed with dates, it is the best combination for enduring the long hours live on set. A source of energy and omega 3. They are also very convenient to carry in my bag and to eat anywhere, so I ensure that they are never missing from my daily routine.

AVOCADO

Spread on toast, as an accompaniment to salads, guacamole… its as versatile as it is healthy and has antioxidant properties. It was also a great help during the first months of my son’s complementary feeding.

YOGURT

I love yogurt in all its forms and flavours, with a special mention to mousses and Greek yogurt. For breakfast, lunch or dinner. For me, yogurt with strawberries is a winning combination and is beyond appetising.

MANGO

In salad, combined with feta cheese. If you haven’t tried it, I invite you to experiment with this mix, because it is delicious. Normally, I add these two elements to pasta spirals. It gets me out of many fixes when I’m hungry and have little time to prepare food.

RICE

As a good Valencian, this grain has accompanied me on every Sunday of my life. The liturgy of the paella always leads to good times among family and friends and the best taste in the mouth. Bon appetit!
