For collaborating in this article, Carmen Alcayde and Consum donated €500 to Cáritas Parroquial San Pascual Baylón, to be distributed to the needy.

Presenter, tv personality and reporter: Carmen Alcayde's talent for the small screen became apparent before she had even finished her journalism career and she began collaborating with local broadcasters. She has worked for the major national channels in all types of television formats, although it was the programme 'Aqui hay tomate', which she presented with Jorge Javier Vázquez, which gave her greater recognition. The Valencian journalist has also broached the literary world and has published three books to date: "Thirty-somethings", "Surviving living together" and "Cotton Clouds".

Here are her “Top 5”:

RAVIOLI STUFFED WITH MUSHROOMS

As well as being very tasty, this mushroom recipe can always get you out of a tight spot in a hurry.  For one of those days when you do not have time to cook, or you arrive home just at dinner time. They are cooked in 5 minutes and the whole family likes them, both the children and us.

GLUTEN-FREE CORN CAKES

While the children are having dinner, and so as not to be tempted to steal the food from their plates, I love to snack on these tasty cakes. Then I put the children to bed, tell them a story, tickle them, and about an hour later I have my own dinner. They are ideal to kill the hunger pangs and help me make it to dinner time, since the children have dinner at 8.

WAFER BISCUITS STUFFED WITH CHOCOLATE

Ever since my children discovered them, they are passionate about them. If they have behaved well during the week, and there is a stamp in their school diary to prove it, on Friday they get these delicious biscuits as a reward.

CREM OF CAMEMBERT

Ideal for dipping little breadsticks into it, to snack between meals. My husband, who does not worry about the scales as I do, loves it, and from time to time I cannot help having a little.

JAR OF SOLE WITH BÉCHAMEL SAUCE

When we go out to a restaurant over the weekend this preparation ensures that Olivia eats well. From when she was very small, it’s always been her favourite, and every time I offer her a spoonful, she opens her mouth wide
