Eva Amaral and Juan Aguirre are the soul of Amaral, one of the most important Spanish pop groups of recent years. In 1998 they released their first album and a couple of years later they began to perform before an ever-increasing number of audiences.

´Estrella de Mar' was released in 2003. With almost two million albums sold, this is a leap in the group's career, the consolidation of this couple from Zaragoza who are turning their dream into reality. In 2005 'Pájaros en la cabeza' is the best-selling album of the year, Amaral began his international career and received the most prestigious awards on the music scene.  Eva and Juan are currently composing a new album.

Here are his Top 5:

COFEE

Neither of us can start the day without good coffee. It doesn't matter if it's to go to the studio to compose, or before going to the market, at home, or on tour: the first coffee in the morning is essential. And yes, in summer, with lots of ice.

HONEY

We love honey and it is good for everything: we add it to our coffee as a sweetener, we prepare it as an infusion to take care of our voice or we put it on our breakfast toast. Rosemary, orange blossom or any other kind.... even some fans have brought us honey as a gift after a concert!

NUTS

We always have dried fruit, and nuts in particular, in our dressing room or in the van where we spend so many hours on tour. They are also an essential food when hiking in the country or cycling. Besides being very healthy, they're great.

LENTILS

We share a recipe from Eva's mother. We both like to prepare them very much and we do it with potato, paprika, garlic, onion, bay leaf and something fundamental that cannot be missing according to this recipe: rice.

CINNAMON

Cinnamon is a spice that is always at hand. In addition to having that wonderful characteristic smell, it is very useful as a remedy to care for the voice or as an infusion to reduce cold or flu symptoms.
